Today I got up at a frankly ridiculous 5:30am, and left the house at just gone 6am heading for the Sunbury Antiques Market at Kempton Park Racecourse in Surrey and arrived at 6.40am.
Here are a few pics that I took with my phone.
Car park absolutely rammed even at 6.40am
Let’s go Bargain Hunting… yeah!
Pretty busy despite being only just gone 6.45am
I was really tempted by this James Bond suitcase
Not long till dawn now
I asked the seller if he would mind me taking a pic, and in a heavy French (or possibly Belgian) accent he asked me to speak more slowly as his English wasn’t so good. Once we had established what I wanted, he was happy for me to do so and also told me that they make all of these in house.
As previous
Getting lighter!
Again, I asked the seller if he minded me taking a photo and he was happy for me to do so.
Bisto, it’s the bestie.
I took this mainly for my friend Becca. 🙂
I absolutely fell in love with this Art Nouveau decanter by WMF. Unfortunately, not only was it £200 but the stopper was seized solid too, so sadly I had to walk away from it. 🙁
The only thing I actually bought – a figurine by Royal Doulton, circa 2000 (so not old). I paid £20 despite the sticker price of £22. Maybe I could have driven a harder bargain, but I thought £20 was a fair price.
My Fitbit Alta started vibrating furiously, and when I looked at the screen it was showing a fireworks display. And I thought “WTF is going on?”. Turned out that I had just walked 10,000 steps in a day. Kind of shows how sedentary my life is that I hadn’t had that before. 🙂

That’s a sweet figurine you bought, and I wish I could have been there to pick from the French/Belgian’s stall. 🙂
I remember that Bisto tin from when I was small. I think it became mine for a while too!
Amazing info about the exercise you got. Maybe I should go (window) shopping more often. 🙂
