Another day, another round of lies about trans women.
Transphobes talk about allowing trans women into female-only spaces. But this is not about allowing because we have walked amongst you for decades if not centuries, and use female-only spaces and want to continue to do so.
This is about preventing. And there is a massive difference.
Point me at the criminal case law that establishes trans women are a clear and present threat to “women and children” because, if we are a threat, then there should be loads of case law by now. But there isn’t.
In many ways trans women are the scapegoat of modern times that Jews were in 1930’s Germany, if you compare equivalent points in history. It’s how authoritarian movements build momentum. The strategy consistently relies on manufacturing a moral panic around a small minority, framing them as an existential threat to society – almost always leaning on the “safety of women and children” trope to bypass rational debate.
“Think of the children”, they say, as children lie dead from yet another school shooting. But the case for gun control is different though, right?
